UPCOMING MAJOR FLAKER EVENT - SPRINGFIELD FUN RUN

I would love to get a big turn out for the Springfield Fun Run on SATURDAY 17th September, being so close to home and a smaller fun run it is a great opportunity for some of our beginner runners to try an event without all the crowds.  I think we should start getting our entries in ASAP as it says on the website that depending on numbers entries could close earlier than race day, so they may have a limit to entries.  There is a 5k and a 1k kids event, so something for the whole family!

We will have the Flakers tent for this event and pom poms and signs so it will be a fun family day!

After the race for anyone who would like to hang around we plan on having a picnic in the park.  So if you plan on staying just bring a plate of food to share, your own drinks and some chairs.  Also pack the togs for the kids as they have a wet play area and with any luck it will be a nice sunny day.

To enter go to:  http://www.gsrun4life.org.au/features.html  (there is an option for timed or non-timed, so if you want your results recorded choose the timed option).  Do not use the team entry as it is more expensive, we will just be our own little team in spirit!
